Do you write code in my brain? Or yours? Does this charity ease your conscience? Alter your reality? There is a rumbling beneath the ground of this city of damned souls. A reckoning. An equalising force. I can hear the drums already, and when you hear them we shall be the same, at long last, you and I.
so life treats me like a dog, I'm out on the streets
being seen, being free, up in the distance echoes a beat
boom boom boom, like thunder hailing the moon
boom boom boom, shake your hips to the rhythm of doom
and there he plays, the taiko taiko man
he knows my fate, he knows that we're the damned
don't turn away, your own death isn't far
killer and prey are true to what they are
nowhere to run away, the streets are not safe
cold falls the rain, I am not sane
nowhere to run away, the streets are not safe
cold falls the rain, I'm insane
(I'm running away, but I'm still part)
(taiko taiko man, taiko taiko onii-chan
taiko taiko man, brother drum, he knows you, man)
here I go, here I am, still alive, all over again
everything on repeat, something new my heart skips a beat
this is me, this is you, the taiko man he can't be fooled
boom boom boom, shake your hips to the rhythm of doom
nowhere to run away, the streets are not safe
cold falls the rain, I am not sane
nowhere to run away, the streets are not safe
cold falls the rain, I'm insane
